FAQ

How long will this course take to complete?

This course is approximately 33 hours in length when considering all of the content included. Additionally, there are assignments that are required which may take an additional 8 hours (give or take). So, in total, this course is likely to take you about 41 hours.
Is this course self-paced?

This course is self-guided. However, you will only be able to access 3 modules per week. The purpose of this is to allow you time to think about and process and, hopefully, apply what you are learning.
If I'm not currently providing parent training services, can I still take this course?

Yes! Even if you aren't currently a parent trainer, you can complete this training. You can complete the assignments without actually having to be doing parent training.
Do I have to be a BCBA to take this course?

No! You do not have to be a BCBA to take this course. However, this course only provides continuing education to behavior analysts at this time. This course applies to any professional who is interested in advancing their parent training skill set.
What if I am not satisfied with this course?

If you decide that the course is really not for you, you have 14 days from the course start date to request a refund. We highly encourage you to give the course a chance, though, as there is so much information offered that you're going to want to get through all the modules to make the best use of this course.

When is this course available?

This course is only offered 3 times per year and open enrollment is only available for a short period of time prior to each opportunity. Space is limited, as well, to allow us to provide optimal support to our students.
How long is the certification good for?

The certification is valid for 5 years. You will need to complete the Level 2 training course in order to maintain your status as a Certified ABA Parent Trainer (CAPT) prior to that 5 year deadline. To do this, you will simply need to complete an additional course from us for your re-certification. (Don't worry. We'll remind you.)
